His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, who visited the Special Unit Camp in Safra, said that those who support sabotage and anarchy want to stall the development of the nation.
HRH Prime Minister was welcomed by Interior Minister Lt. General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, State Minister for Interior Affairs Major General Adel bin Khalifa Al Fadhel, Public Security Chief Major General Taraq Al Hassan, Special Forces Commander Brigadier Abdullah Al Zayed, senior officers and Heads of the security bodies.
He lauded the efforts of the Special Security Force personnel for their efforts in maintaining security and order. He was briefed about the security plan put in place to deal with the repercussions of suspicious calls and inspected the latest equipment inaugurated by the Interior Ministry.
“Sabotage and anarchy are ways for destruction and anyone who practises violence and terrorism and provides a cover for them is not seeking reform,” he said.
He vowed zero tolerance with anyone found implicated in the crime of tampering with the national fabric and civic peace by relying on foreign parties, using violence and terrorism and adopting anarchy and transgression of the law as an approach to impose the will of some on all.
“We have the right to maintain the security and stability of our people,” he added, noting that Bahrain is at the threshold of a new phase dictating no laxity with breaking the law. “Democratic societies, including Bahrain, protect their democracies, by means of law and order,” HRH affirmed.
He said the irresponsibility of some parents multiplies the responsibility of the government to take decisively the needed measures to protect youngsters from being exploited in acts of vandalism, terror and anarchy and secure their future to engage them in the nation-building march and protect people in Bahrain and their properties from the danger of terrorism.
He stressed that all plots to drag the nation into the cauldron of chaos and sedition will be doomed to failure as the government is fully aware of what is being woven to shake the Kingdom’s stability. He pledged to expedite implementation of the recommendations of the National Assembly to root out terrorism and ensure people’s safety.
“Bahrain does not face any crisis. There are, however, some individuals who are living a national and moral crisis and they want to generalise that in Bahrain because they failed by missing successive opportunities. Therefore, the government will not wait for a group who lack the sense of responsibility and political experience at the expense of security and national sovereignty. We have learnt from past lessons chief of which that has to be applied is eradicating any impediment to stability and development.”
HRH the Prime Minister pointed out that the misinformation policy adopted by some has been laid bare, pledging to enforce the law on those who chose to be destructive rather than constructive.
He thanked the security bodies for their efforts and enormous sacrifice to protect Bahrain from terrorism, reiterating his support to them.
On his part, the Interior Minister thanked HRH the Premier for the visit describing it as a source of pride and a stimulus for all to exert more efforts to maintain national security and stability and protect hard-won achievements.
