The Minister of Industry and Commerce, Dr. Hassan Abdullah Fakhro, said the small- and medium-size industries contribute in the interest of the entire national industrial setup.
Dr Fakhro was speaking as he inaugurated the Manufacturers’ Exports Forum, organized by Bridge Training Solutions Group at which was conducted by exports expert Allan Deacon.
He said the exports of of small- and medium-sized industries help in boosting capabilities, increasing sales, consolidating and developing communications in the field of exports in addition to defining existing shortcomings in the process of exporting and boosting exporters’ awareness.
The Minister of Industry and Commerce highlighted the importance of the Forum which comes at a time when the conversion industries’ sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain is increasingly growing and the culture of exporting and diversification of sources of revenue is considered an advantage for establishments in our local market. Hence, the significance of this forum comes to boost, build and develop export and industrial infrastructures with focus on orienting manufacturers about exports, brushing up and boosting professional skills in exports, etc. and other relevant aspects such as tenders, quotations, negotiations, and export contracts. The Minister added that the forum’s organizers have succeeded in selecting this topic to encourage and stimulate exports, stimulating private sector and specialized establishments in this field.
The Minister of Industry and Commerce also expressed praise on the part of the honorable Government and the Ministry towards the organizing of these events pertaining to boost strategic economic activities in the Kingdom of Bahrain which contribute into the Government’s overall objectives essentially boosting competitiveness and diversification of sources of our national income.
The project of establishing the Exports Development Center, the concept of whose establishing has been sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, is considered a clear manifestation of such attention and disposition emanating from the Bahrain Economic Vision and well-organized, pre-studied strategies applicable for all governmental sectors.
The Minister pointed out that nowadays the world is teeming with high competition, economic and developmental challenges which necessitate for everybody to keep abreast of latest developments and advancement in order to safeguard gains and consolidate the Kingdom of Bahrain’s prestigious position as a strategic business, services and economic hub and the portal of international investments of various sizes and sorts. In conclusion of his speech, the Minister of Industry and Commerce praised the keenness shown on the part of Bridge Training Solutions Company by organizing this forum and expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the forum’s participants and to Allan Deacon who has enriched the conference with his vast expertise in the field of exports.
