The Supreme Council for Environment and Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) discussed the environmental feasibility for the improvers of Gasoline fuel of category MTBE for the improved fuel, so as to know about all the environmental, economic, health, and utilitarian aspects result from adopting the mentioned chemical compound as a standard element in the gasoline used in Kingdom of Bahrain.
The CEO of the Supreme Council for Environment, Dr. Adel Khalifa Al-Zayani has recently hosted a delegation from (Bapco) chaired by its Deputy CEO Engineer Ibrahim Taleb, and Director of North America, Hart Energy Consulting John Kneiss, the mandatory company to prepare an environmental feasibility study on the compound MTBE, where Kneiss presented an overview for the results of analyzing the chemical elements and their effects.
The presentation concluded with a request from the Supreme Council for Environment to provide the technical details, specifications and standards for the compound’s processing unit, which will be installed in the refinery company in future, in order to determine the health and safety standards through all work phases concerned with the mentioned chemical compound.
