The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, expressed his appreciation towards current amicable relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the friendly Republic of Indonesia, lauding the level of growth and development of these relations in various fields.
This came when His Excellency the Minister met with the friendly Republic of Indonesia’s Foreign Minister, Dr. R.M. Marty M. Natalegawa,on the side-lines of the meetings of the 68th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Session in New York City.
The two sides explored ways and means for opening new horizons and boosting cooperation so as to reap benefits in the interest of the two friendly countries. Also, issues and topics on the agenda of UNGA session were discussed.
The Foreign Minister of the friendly Republic of Indonesia welcomed the invitation extended to him from His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs to attend the Strategic Dialogue on GCC-Asian Cooperation next November, praising the Kingdom of Bahrain’s decision to open an Embassy for the Kingdom in Jakarta to boost bilateral relations between both friendly countries.
