Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) announced obtaining an advanced blast protection unit and its’ handover to the Airport Police Directorate (Ministry of Interior) in a leading move to ensure the security of passengers and staff alike at Bahrain International Airport.
The state-of-the-art blast container was handed over by Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), Mohamed Yousif Al- Binfalah to senior officials from the Airport Police Directorate (Ministry of Interior) during a ceremony held at the airport.
Following this announcement, the new blast container will be located at the central security screening point in the departure hall at the airport to contain suspicious baggage and small parcels.
“In line with our commitment to enhance the aviation security at Bahrain International Airport, we continuously ensure to equip the Airport with leading edge security solutions to implement the globally required measures,” Al- Binfalah, said.
Al- Binfalah thanked the Ministry of Interior and all partners in the public and private sectors for their contribution in realizing Bahrain Airport Company’s mission in managing the airport to provide an exceptional travel experience similar to other major airports.

This sets to improve the Kingdom‘s aviation capabilities; and to cater for the growing number of passengers as well as the changing demands of BIA stakeholders.”
