The Kingdom of Bahrain’s commercial sector’s investments reached BD19.8billion at end of 2012, an increase of BD400million over BD19.4billion investments recorded at the end of the previous year, according to a senior official.
Hamid Yousif Rahma, Assistant Undersecretary for Domestic Trade, during his presentation highlighted the salient features of the Ministry aimed at attracting the domestic and foreign investments in the commercial sector.
Hamid Rahma, who was joined by Nader Khalil Almoayyed, Undersecretary Commercial Affairs, said that there has been healthy increase in the issuance of number of commercial registrations compared with the indicators of 2012.
Talking about the Investors Centers he said both Seef Mall and Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry have been equipped with all necessary facilities to process the applications in minimum possible time.
“For the entities and individuals all applications seeking new registrations are handled in a professional manner, thanks to the recent steps taken by the Ministry including the increase in the number of the staff,” he said.
