The Central Informatics Organisation (CIO)’s Chairman, Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Aamer, inaugurated a training workshop on the statistics of funding education, research, development and creativity organized in cooperation with UNESCO Institute for Statistics and in association with the Bahrain National Commission for Education, Science and Culture.
Dr. Al-Aamer welcomed the UNESCO’s regional statistics advisor, Yusuf Falah Ismael, and praised constructive cooperation with the Bahrain National Commission for Education, Science and Culture in organizing this important workshop intended to boost capacities of social, environmental and economic statistics.
The CIO organises this workshop so as to improve data and information as part of the Excellence Programme to support decision-makers to attain the knowledge-based economy. The training programmes as part of efforts to accomplish the requirements of competiveness aimed to ensure creativity in governmental performance and develop government work techniques in application of the principle of competitiveness commensurate with the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
