His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa arrived in Bahrain after an official visit to the People’s Republic of China at the invitation of President Xi Jinping.
HM the King, during his visit, held talks with Chinese President, Chairman of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Keqiang and senior Chinese officials on the relations of friendship and close cooperation between the two countries in various areas, and discussed the latest political developments on the regional and international arenas. HM the King also attended the opening ceremony of the first China-Arab States Expo 2013, held in Yinchuan city in China’s Ningxia Hui Region.
HM the King, after concluded his visit to China, paid a visit to the Kingdom of Thailand, where he met with Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra of Thailand and reviewed ways of supporting and enhancing horizons of joint cooperation between the two friendly countries.
HM the King was received on arrival by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister and the Chinese Charge d’Affaires to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh praised the outcome of the official visit, made by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to the Republic of China and its importance in supporting relations and bilateral cooperation.
He stressed that this visit will have a positive impact on the level of bilateral cooperation in political, economic and investment areas.
He expressed pride in what has been achieved during the Bahraini-Chinese summit, especially the signing of a number of cooperation agreements and protocols in the fields of culture, health, financial, tax, education, energy and more, and stressed that this visit will have a positive future results on mutual interests of both countries.
