The much anticipated visit of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the friendly People’s Republic of China (PRC) from September 14 to 16th upon official invitation is the first visit by a Bahraini monarch to China since diplomatic representation was established between the two countries twenty-four years ago, according to the Chinese People’s Republic’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Li Xin.
HM the King’s visit aims to push forward the solid bilateral relations to optimal horizons and to boost political, economic and cultural ties between the two the Kingdom of Bahrain and China. The two friendly countries share many views in common regarding a number of issues.
The Chinese Ambassador said that the visit itinerary is topped by talks with the Chinese President and senior Chinese officials on bilateral relations and regional issues of common interest.
The upcoming visit of HM the King to Beijing had been preceded by various visits from senior Bahraini officials.
The Chinese Ambassador said that the two friendly countries are set to sign bilateral cooperation agreements related to health, education, banking and avoidance of dual taxation.
Li Xin urged businessmen from both countries to explore potential opportunities for investment in each country.
