His Royal Highness, Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, issued directives to implement the MoUs and agreements signed during the historic visit to the People’s Republic of China.
HRH Prime Minister, who chaired the weekly Cabinet Meeting at the Gudaibiya Palace on Sunday in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, praised the fruitful outcomes of the historical recent visit of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the People’s Republic of China, including the agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) which were signed and confirmed the mutual desire to develop a strategic partnership between the two countries and expand cooperation on the political, military, security, cultural, economic and commercial levels.
After the Cabinet took note of the contents of the Royal statement of HM the King regarding activating these agreements, HRH the Prime Minister appointed Deputy Prime Minister HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa to head a committee to develop the plans and necessary mechanisms to follow up on the implementation of these MoUs and agreements.
The State Minister for Information Affairs, Sameera Rajab told media during the weekly Cabinet briefing at Al Gudabia Palace that HM King’s visit has opened new avenues of co-operation and development between the two countries. She said that HRH Prime Minister and the Cabinet lauded the visit as an important and vital step towards cementing the existing brotherly ties between the two sides.
