The newly appointed CEO Silah Gulf Ricardo Langwieder Goerner on Tuesday said that he would take the organisation to the next level of excellence through sustainability, innovation and adaptability to change.
“Silah Gulf which has already started expansion can help the businesses to save millions by using our services and yet with better results than in house operations,” optimistic Ricardo said, adding that there were plenty of growth opportunities in business for Silah Gulf, nevertheless many challenges in this rapidly evolving business.
“I am very excited about this new opportunity and look forward to driving Silah to its next stages of development,” Ricardo said.
“While already securing leadership position in Bahrain, our focus will now be on sustainably growing our share in GCC markets through our strategic partnerships, strengthening our key client relationships and eventually securing thought leadership in the outsourcing and customer service domain,” he added.
“With the support of the eGovernment Authority and Merchants as well as our skilled labour pool, seasoned management team and best practices we have a combination of the right elements to help us reach our goals,” he said.

Ricardo Langwieder-Görner replaces former CEO Joe Tawfik. Görner, the Austrian national, has over than 15 years of working experience, served in various consultancy positions that qualified him to lead the Company’s operations in the upcoming stage.
Görner has held leadership positions in several top consortiums and entities in this area. Ricardo also leads the BPO Council of the German Outsourcing Organization since 2012 as General Chair promoting BPO activities in the DACH region and serving as thought leader and trusted advisor for outsourcing of business process services within the association. In 2011 Ricardo was nominated as one of the (SSON) Shared Services and Outsourcing visionaries in the German speaking region.
Silah was incorporated in September 2010 as a joint venture between Bahrain’s eGovernment Authority and UK-based, Merchants, a leader in contact center solutions.
Silah Gulf won awards for Best Contact Center Technology Platform and Best OSP Reporting System and Processes at the Annual Middle East Call Center Awards (MECC 2013 in Dubai, UAE, in addition to other two new awards: Best Unified Government Call Center and Best OSP Provider in the medium category.
