“Fleming Gulf has been doing an exceptional job in organizing the district cooling conferences and promoting the industry in Qatar through attracting ever increasing number of delicate, key government local representatives and key foreign leading players, “ Berbari said. “This 5th District Cooling Summit will be more important as the district cooling industry is gaining more ground and is set to play a more important role in all future development including the Metro, the World Cup, Lusail, Msheireb Downtown, Internal security forces new camp and many other exciting new developments in Qatar.
“This effort, which I chose to support, lead and assist, is due to a shared passion to see district cooling flourish in Qatar. From the time when I played a key role in pioneering district cooling in West Bay until today where I see district cooling having crossed the 10% penetration rate of the A/C market in Qatar, I still have a dream of marking Dr. King’s 50th anniversary speech with a penetration rate reaching 50%. Also, I would like to see tri-generation integrated with renewables such as PV and deep geothermal pulling off to lead the sustainability movement through well planned and well-coordinated path,” he added.
