Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) to participate in the 19th World Route Development Forum and exhibition 2013, which is taking place in the United States of America from the 6th to 8th of October 2013.
World Route Development Forum and exhibition is a prominent aviation event, which is expected to attract 3000 delegates from over 80 countries this year. During the three-day event, BAC’s delegation is aiming to promote the facilities and services available at Bahrain International Airport (BIA) to the aviation industry as well as network with decision-makers from key international airports and airline companies.
“As we are heading steadily towards achieving our mission of elevating the airport’s infrastructure and maintaining its’ positioning as a regional aviation hub. BAC participations in such a prestigious event comes in line with our efforts to work jointly with our partners to promote Bahrain International Airport to the international aviation community and attracting airlines to make the Kingdom its’ regional hub,” Mohamed Yousif Al- Binfalah, Chief Executive Officer of BAC.
Bahrain International Airport has a long-rooted history in the aviation industry that sets it apart from other airports, and it still plays an important role in the fast-growing sector. Established in the early 1930s, BIA was the first international airport to operate in the Arabian Gulf. Today, the airport caters to 22 airlines flying to 38 destinations world-wide. A number of key international cargo carriers operate from BIA, including DHL which has made BIA its’ regional hub for its operations in the Middle East for more than 35 years. The airport previously won a number of internationally renowned awards, most recently the SKYTRAX Award for the Middle East’s Best Airport Staff in 2013. It has also received different nominations that listed BIA in the SKYTRAX world’s top 100 airports.
“Since its’ inception in 1996, World Routes events have always been an ideal networking platform for the airports industry. We are looking forward to our participation in the event held in the USA this year, and we are confident that our visit will lead to rewarding results for BAC and its partners at the BIA Promotional Group which includes Bahrain Duty Free, BAPCO, AIR BP and Chevron,” Binfalah, said.
