Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro and Minister of State for Follow-up Affairs Mohammed Al Mutawa and Minister for Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry, Dr. Juma Al-Kaabi visited Bahrain Investment Centre (BIC) in Seef Mall where they were briefed on the state-of-the-art facilities at BIC.
The visit was part of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce’s strategy to follow up the workflow in various sectors and to stand on the developments movement and performance especially the front offices and services location that directly related to the businesses.
During their tour, they were briefed on work movements in front offices and listened to detailed explanation about work mechanism and steps adopted to facilitate transactions and procedures done in record speed. They were also briefed on the latest development of registration and renewal of commercial companies in electronic form, which facilitated many of these procedures and reduced period of achievement.
During their visit, Assistant Undersecretary of Domestic Trade Hameed Rahma gave a detailed presentation on mechanisms used in registering companies and issuance of business licenses, in addition to procedures and steps adopted to facilitate transaction which done at speed record at the present time in implementing government directions in this regard. As well as trends and plans to raise Center’s efficiency to enhance manpower and increase it and the extension of working hours to include Saturdays in order to accommodate the growing number of reviewers and meet investors requirements, noting the average number of company registering is about 2,500 annually.
