His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, following the meeting with Egyptian President Adli Mahmoud Mansour, expressed delight in the continuation of the course of relations and coordination between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Egypt that asserts the strength of relations between Egypt and the GCC countries and the issues of common concern, and expressed appreciation for the Egyptian stance and its people towards the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people.
HM the King underscored the importance of the Egyptian political forces’ efforts in maintaining national consensus to enable Egypt to continue its vital leadership role in serving Arab and Islamic nations and supporting their just causes as well as consolidating Arab solidarity and joint Arab action, stressing that Egypt’s stability is the stability of all Arab countries, for the strategic depth it has enjoyed throughout history and it will always enjoy it.
HM the King underlined Bahrain’s role as President of the current session of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf in supporting the solid relations between Egypt and GCC countries to achieve the common goal of Arab countries.
HM the King added the talks also discussed the developments in the Middle East, especially those related to the initiatives to revive the Palestinian-Israeli peace talks to reach a just and permanent solution and to establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
HM the King and President Mansour tackled the Syrian situation, and expressed hope that security and stability will be restored in the sisterly Syria so as to safeguard security, stability and national unity of the brotherly Syrian people.
The two parties asserted bolstering bilateral relations and joint cooperation in economic, trade, cultural, information and military fields through activating the work of the joint committees.
They also discussed developing a comprehensive strategy for Arab national security through security and military committees agreed upon and development them.
