The swift response of the police and smart coordination among security authorities have contributed to solve the watch store robbery that took place at the country’s biggest shopping mall in Manama on 10 September 2013.
As soon as the robbery was reported, teams rushed to the crime scene and investigation was launched that led to identify the suspects.
The probe included reviewing a number of CCTV recordings inside the mall, in which the suspects’ features and detailed of the robbery were revealed.
It appeared the suspects left the country two hours after the robbery was committed. Interpol cooperation led to the arrest of one of the suspects of Kosovo Nationality in Albania, whom will be handed to Bahrain’s authority soon.
Two other suspects were arrested following a security investigation and coordination with a travel agency, while search operation continues to arrest the rest of the suspects after their identities have been revealed.
Most of the stolen watches had been recovered by police after the arrest of the two suspects, whom will be presented before the Public Prosecutor.
