Batelco, Bahrain’s leading integrated communications company and Tata Communications, a leading provider of A New World of Communications have signed a collaboration agreement enabling Tata Communications to extend its connectivity footprint in the Middle East via Batelco’s well established and resilient global MPLS network. Batelco customers will also benefit from the agreement via extended international network reach through Tata Communications global network.
In line with the Batelco/Tata Communications collaboration agreement, an MPLS PoP (Point of Presence) node will be established at Batelco’s state-of-the-art datacentre, located in Manama. The datacentre is dedicated to providing uninterrupted services to mission-critical data processing operations for organisations located in Bahrain, regionally, and further afield. Batelco’s infrastructure and expertise supports its efforts to be the number one choice for international carriers.
Batelco has established a strong reputation in the Middle East telecommunication industry over many years and is a trusted partner of choice for many global providers, such as Tata Communications – who require connectivity into and out of the Middle East and Gulf region.
Batelco General Manager Enterprise Division Adel Daylami said that Batelco has entered into the agreement with Tata Communications to expand Batelco’s international reach, giving both parties diversity in terms of choice of providers, and additionally, to support Tata Communications requirements for reliable connectivity in the Middle East region.
