His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa performed the Eid Al Adha prayers alongside other worshippers at the Eid Prayer Grounds at the Sakhir Palace in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, Their Highnesses, and senior members of the Royal Family.
HM the King and the worshippers listened to the prayer sermons in which the Imam prayed God the Almighty to protect the Kingdom of Bahrain and its loyal people under its wise leadership and to help the nation fulfill its aspirations for glory, progress and prosperity under the rule of HM the King.
Following the prayers, HM the King received the members of the Royal Family, ministers, religious scholars, judges, members of the Council of Representatives and the Shura Council, prominent Bahraini families, heads of societies and churches, CEOs of banks and financial companies, editors in chiefs of local newspapers and media people.
All the well-wishers offered their congratulations and expressed their best wishes to HM the King on this auspicious occasion, praying God the Almighty to bestow steady health and happiness to HM the King and to guide him to achieve the wellbeing and prosperity of Bahrain and its citizens as well as the interests of the Arab and Islamic nations.
The worshippers stressed their pride with the leadership of HM the King and his wise approach to strengthen Bahrain’s status and boost its effective role at the regional, Arab and international levels.
HM the King also received the heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Bahrain who offered their congratulations on the auspicious occasion and conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the leaders of their countries. They wishes HM the King steady health and happiness and the people of Bahrain further progress and prosperity, highlighting the good relations and fruitful cooperation between their states and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
HM the King later received senior officers from the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), the Ministry of Interior and the National Guard who extended their congratulations and best wishes on Eid Al Adha.
HM King Hamad congratulated the officers on the occasion and prayed to God for more welfare, security and stability for Bahrain and its loyal people, for the fulfillment of the nation’s aspirations for a higher status and more progress, and for more welfare and benefits for the Arab and Islamic nations.
