Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro reaffirmed government and Ministry support for all efforts aimed at facilitating trade movement between Bahrain and the countries of the world, noting to the importance of enhancing smoothness and speed to transfer goods to Bahrain and departure to the rest of the world to benefit the consumers.
This came during a meeting, which was chaired by Dr. Hassan Fakhro to discuss the issue of moving good King Fahad Causeway with General Director of Customs and Inspection Sheikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa and Sheikh Ali Bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Director-General of Security and Follow-up at Custom Affairs in presence Mondelez General Manager Terry Denton and BASF factory manager Jordan Schelling to address issues related to goods movement across King Fahad Causeway, which includes many food commodities and consumer’s goods.
Participants discussed at the meeting some of the difficulties that face in road traffic at the causeway port, pointing to a number of proposals and solutions can contribute to resolve the outstanding issues and to reach mechanisms that would alleviate this issue and achieve smoothness required in this aspect. They praised and appreciate government and Ministry efforts in advancing economic development forward.
