Royal University for Women (RUW) signed an academic partnership agreement with WorkSmart for events management, the organizers of MEET ICT conference 2013, which its fourth edition is going to take place December 10 – 12 under the patronage of Minister of Transport Kamal Bin Ahmed Mohammed.
This agreement is part of the organization strategy of cooperating with local companies and universities and thereafter participating in the conferences and the rest of events related to the industry of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Through this event, the Kingdom of Bahrain is going to host international experts and decision makers, who play key role in international and regional companies.
Those experts are going to address different subjects related to ICT, which will lead eventually to business growth in the field.
Related activities will be conducted alongside the event, such as external visits and business matching sessions, organizers also announced a full day ICT workshops.
In parallel, Bahrain International Technology Exhibition is going to be held next door, where the local and regional ICT companies will be under one roof showcasing their latest technologies.
RUW Dean, Dr. Mahmoud Jazzar stressed on the importance of such events to the economy and reputation of the Kingdom.
“Meet ICT 2013 is an excellent opportunity for students to network with regional experts to speak and debate on the hottest issues in ICT. Students will explore different international specialized IT related companies and will be introduced to the latest technologies in the field of Information Technology,” Dr. Jazzar, said.
Dr. Jazzar mentioned that the universities realize the importance of the event’s accurate outcomes which provide useful overview of the market.
“MEET ICT 2013 will continually identifies the hottest global IT trends and enables students to explore the ideal IT/Business development platforms in the region. The participants shall have the opportunity to engage, learn and be able to implement the advances in the IT industry for the development of further solutions and applications. MEET ICT will bring high value to the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Region,” Dr. Jazzar, added, who invited all ICT organizations, companies, and personals to enjoy the opportunity this event is providing so that the future generation will benefit.
