Tamkeen announced that registration for the second edition of the “Mashroo3i” youth business plan competition and awards is now open for all Bahrainis aged between 15 and 23 years on the competition’s official website (www.mashroo3i.bh).
“Mashroo3i” is designed to inspire a bold new generation to be open-minded and take a positive step towards a bright future. The awards reflect creativity, innovation and enthusiasm and will encourage Bahraini youth to have an open attitude towards business as an option for their future career.
This year’s competition is designed to involve more engagement between participants and the public. To register, applicants are encouraged to submit the video of their business idea online or provide a brief description of their business idea.
The “Mashroo3i” Mentors will evaluate the aspiring participants’ business ideas and select the most original, innovative and promising entries. In addition, 5 bonus entries will be selected from the public shortlist through online voting on the competition website.
Many prominent members of the country’s business, education and social fields support Mashroo3i Youth Business Awards through their involvement as mentors and judges during the competition.
“Mashroo3i” has been launched in schools and malls to inspire the youth to join the entrepreneurship movement and feel empowered and independent. The message of the awareness campaign is a call to Bahraini youth to draw their own vision for their future. Moreover, Tamkeen has been working with the Ministry of Education as well to spread the word about youth entrepreneurship.
“Our goal is to create a movement towards entrepreneurship in Bahrain. We are excited to see the level of creativity and innovation through this year’s competition which will also give them the opportunity to practically understand business planning and the path towards entrepreneurship,” Tamkeen’s Acting Vice-President for Human Capital Development Amal Al Kooheji, said.
The deadline for registration for the competition is 24th November, 2013.
