The 9th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) 2013 London has emerged as a record breaking event with confirmed participation of 2600 delegates representing 130 countries worldwide, a top official at WIEF revealed.
“The WIEF 2013 London, first time outside any Muslim country, is reflective of the efforts of Malaysia as one of the leading Islamic financial centers in helping the world in bridging the gap between Islamic and non-Muslim world,” Tun Musa Hitam Chairman of WIEF Foundation told a select gathering at the Opening of the London Stock Exchange on Monday.
WIEF Chairman, who was accompanied by a high-powered delegation from Malaysia and LSE, witnessed the opening of the LSE, a symbolic but very important step in the history of London as an emerging global center for the Islamic banks and financial institutions.
