LONDON: With the three-day record breaking 9th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) is drawing to conclusion at the ExCel London on Thursday, the Chairman of the WIEF Foundation Tun Musa Hitam wants to see the 10th edition in Dubai even bigger than the 9th.
Chairman of WIEF Foundation Tun Musa Hitam told The24X7News (www.twentyfoursevevennews.com) that nothing could satisfy him as he wants to see the Dubai Forum ever bigger in all aspects.
“By nature I would not be satisfied on any achievement as I have an urge and commitment to see even better next time,” he added.
However, hosting the 9th WIEF in London was something he termed a huge step forward in Forum’s journey to become an ideal platform for bridging the gaps between Muslim and non-Muslim world.
“The WIEF Foundation will continue to strive hard to achieve new levels of excellence despite the fact that the 9th WIEF had attracted the highest number of the political leaders and a record number of 2800 delegates representing record number of 128 nations worldwide.
He lauded the efforts the young volunteers who put all possible efforts in making the Forum a great success in London. “I am impressed with the commitment of the volunteers who really makes difference when it comes to organising the event,” he added.
Talking about London being a venue for the Forum he said that it was a win-win situation for both WIEF and London as both sides made the maximum out of this global event.
From the very start, he said, the Prime Minister David Cameron and Mayor of London’s offices had done everything possible to make this event happen here great city of London.
“From the day when idea was floated, Prime Minister David Cameron exploited all resources to see the Forum in London, which by all means was a great success,” he said.
