The necessary infrastructure at the American International Specialized Hospital at Al Areen is almost complete and to be finished within the stipulated period, according to a board member at Al Areen Holding Company.
“The initial work at the hospital site at Al Areen is close to completion, thanks to the gracious support of the investors,” Mohammed Al Hasan board member of Al Areen Holding Company, in a statement said.
Highlighting the importance of the American International Specialized Hospital at Al Areen he said was reflective of the Management’s strategy to attract foreign and domestic investments.
“From securing the formal permission for a new hospital and assistance for the infrastructural development for such a unique facility are few but very important contributing factors winning the confidence of investors,” he explained.
“The American international Specialized Hospital is one of unique projects in health sector in the region,” Al Hassan, added.
Spread over 25000 square meters, hospital is a strategic located within Al Areen development project, and is surrounded by major attractions like the Bahrain International Circuit and Al Areen Wild life park in addition to close proximity of hotels and other recreational facilities.
The American international Specialized Hospital is a strategic partnership between Al Areen Holding Company and Avenue Ventures.
“The Hospital will be a major step forward towards medical health services in the Kingdom of Bahrain,” Al Hassan said.
With regard to infrastructure development of the project he said all the electrical work is well in place and ready for use means there will be no issue in the future regarding the electricity connections delays etc.
During the recent site visit by the US Ambassador Thomas Krajeski to give him a firsthand briefing on the developments taking place at project, the Ambassador showed satisfaction over the pace of the development.
“The project is a manifestation of the continuous corporation between the governments of Bahrain and the United States,” Al Hassan said, adding that the keen interest by the US Ambassador shows his commitment towards ongoing strategic projects in Bahrain.
“The completion of this project within the time frame reflects a major achievement within the medical service sector and will help to bolster the confidence of the investors from all over the world to reach out and invest in Bahrain. This project will also add value to the investments of Al Areen Holding Company and Avenue Ventures,” Robert Sweeney Senior Executive Vice President of Avenue Ventures, said.
American Dr. Bryan Perry and Dr. Khawar Saddiqi surgeons from Beverly Hills and Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles, California are providing the necessary consultation and suggestions to Ventures Avenue regarding the start up and operation of the hospital.
“The $12 million hospital consists of special health care units with two royal wards, two luxury wards and 10 private rooms. This hospital which highly pioneered and specialized in Cosmetic and Laser Treatments will also provide specialist treatments in Urology, Obstetrics and Gynecology including IVF fertilization treatments. A wellness center, state of the art operating rooms and much more to help in the comfort of the guest will be available,” Robert Sweeney said.
“The project will play an important role in the economy, in general, and the health services sector, in particular. The health sector serves as a vital pillar of the national economy as this project alone will create 1000 jobs. The hospital will also be an excellent learning platform for young graduates and professional as result of transfer of US expertise,” Robert Swanee, added.
Senior Executive Vice President of Avenue Venture highlighted the importance of the latest technology and equipments which would be made available to train the future doctors in Bahrain.
