The Bahrain Duty Free Complex (BDFS) achieved a net profit of BHD 5.10million compared to BHD 5.11million for same period of last year along with earnings of 47.4 Fils per share.
“The company’s board of directors has reviewed on Sunday, November 10, 2013 audited financial results for the Company for the nine months ended September 30, 2013, which showed that the company had achieved a net profit of BHD 5,106,190 million, which reflects the outstanding performance of the company,” Farouk Al Moayyed, the Chairman of board said.
“At the same time I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to the executive management and all the employees for their continuous effective efforts that led us to achieve these positive great results in spite of the difficulties and the challenges,” Al Moayyed, added.
“The Company is currently working on several development projects in line with the company’s strategy to provide high levels of efficiency and excellent services to travelers; work has started with the renewal of Duty Free Arrival Shops at the Bahrain International Airport. The completion of the total renovation and the official opening scheduled for January next year.”
“The Company has transferred its previous headquarter located in Juffair to the new location adjacent to Bahrain International Airport where the company runs its core operations. The transition process is now completed and the actual move occurred last September 2013,” Buhindi added.
