The Kingdom of Bahrain will continue to address all labour related issues as part of its commitment to ILO and other obligations.
The weekly Cabinet meeting, which was chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, took note of the results of Session 319 of the Board of International Labor Organization (ILO) and confirmed Bahrain’s commitment to its duties and obligation related to international labor conventions signed.
Moreover, they reaffirmed the government’s persistence in solving all labor related issues in accordance with the laws and regulations, in order to preserve the rights and interest of the workers and their employers, as well as to support the three parties of production to settle all labor related cases with fair representation for all parties equally when reaching a final agreement in any dispute. In this matter, the Deputy Prime Minister praised the cooperation displayed by different parties in reinstating dismissed employees to their jobs, which reflects everybody’s determination to bring this matter to a close. After reviewing recommendations prepared by the Minister of Labor in response to the ILO Board meeting (319) held in Geneva, the Cabinet decided to refer them to the committee specialized in studying labor issues.
