The Cabinet on Sunday reviewed a draft law amendment aims at securing an appropriate legislative environment for the promotion and protection of e-commerce has been referred by the Cabinet to the legislative authority for further review.
The amendments to Decree Law 28 / 2002 on electronic transactions also address all issues and matters related to the safe use of electronic transactions that are not regulated by the current law, according to the draft presented by the Deputy Prime Minister, President of the Ministerial Committee for Legal Affairs, to the Cabinet session on Sunday chaired by His Highness the Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa.
The Cabinet also discussed the memorandum presented by the Deputy Prime Minister, President of the Ministerial Committee for Legal Affairs concerning the Draft Law on the ratification of the air services agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Government of the Federal Republic of Austria.
This was stated by Sameera Rajab, the State Minister for Information Affairs and Official Spokesperson for the Government during the post Cabinet meeting briefing.
The agreement includes the air routes of aviation institutions in both countries, as well as some of the provisions and procedures adopted in the field of aviation services.
The Ministerial Committee said that the content of the agreement did not conflict with the provisions of the Constitution and the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Cabinet referred the draft law to the legislative authority.
The Cabinet also discussed the memorandum presented by the Deputy Prime Minister, President of the Ministerial Committee for Legal Affairs on the draft law to ratify the Protocol to amend the Air Transport Agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco.
The amendment included provisions and procedures related to aviation safety.
The Ministerial Committee said that the content of this agreement does not conflict with the provisions of the Constitution and the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Cabinet decided to refer the draft law to the legislative authority, the spokesperson said.
During the session, the Cabinet expressed its grief over the natural disaster that hit the Philippines and announced a decision by the Government to offer aid to the victims.

The Cabinet discussed and agreed on a number of draft proposals submitted by the Council of Representatives. They included a project to construct a hospital specialising in the treatment of drug and alcohol addicts, the allocation of beds in Salmaniya Medical Complex for mothers who accompany diabetic children, the creation of a physiotherapy unit in Hamad Kanoo Health Centre in East Riffa and the construction of a building for Buhair Youth Centre in the Seventh Constituency of the Central Governorate.
