Dragonair has won the “Best Airline Economy Class” honour in the 2013 Business Traveller China Awards.
Dragonair has claimed a number of top awards over the course of 2013 including “World’s Best Regional Airline” in the World Airline Awards run by Skytrax and the “Best Regional Airline” honour in the 24th Annual TTG Travel Awards. More recently the airline was named a “2013 Asia Excellence Brand” by Yanzhou Zhoukan.
The 2013 Business Traveller China Awards ceremony was held last Friday, 15 November, in Beijing. The awards, now in their ninth year, are decided by Mainland readers voting for their favourite travel brands and products.
“I would like to thank all the Business Traveller China readers who voted for us this year. Mainland China is Dragonair’s core market and we are particularly pleased to be recognised by the country’s frequent travellers,” Dragonair Chief Executive Officer Patrick Yeung, said. “We strive to provide the best-possible travel experience to our passengers and this award is clear acknowledgement of our efforts to deliver a consistently high standard of products and services.”
Earlier in 2013 Dragonair embarked on a full-scale inflight product enhancement which includes the introduction of new Economy Class and Business Class cabins on the majority of aircraft together with a brand new on-demand inflight entertainment system, StudioKA. The rollout of the new products will be completed later in 2014.
Dragonair has also put a lot of effort into expanding its network. The airline has launched or resumed 13 destinations since April 2012, marking the biggest expansion in the carrier’s history. It recently announced that it will launch a new service to Penang in March 2014.
