The management and the board of trustees of the British School of Bahrain briefed the British Ambassador, Iain Lindsay on school’s programmes and achievements in various areas of activities.
Set in the exquisite surroundings of The British Embassy, The Chairman of The Board of Trustees, Rashad Janahi, together with The Head of School, Dr Charles Wall, Head of Infants, Mrs Julie Anne Gilbert, Head of Juniors, Mrs Lisa Atkins and Head of Seniors, Mr Ian Gross, enjoyed a wide ranging discussion about how The British School of Bahrain is contributing to Bahrain.
Janahi explained how The Board of Trustees and the owner were totally committed to ensuring that The BSB is the best it can be and that they regarded this as part of their corporate and social responsibility.
There has been a considerable investment in the school and a further BD 1 to2 million is being invested each year to ensure we have state of the art facilities. The school has grown rapidly since its beginnings in 1995 and by now has some 1740 students from 66 different countries. The school is truly international and is enjoying ever greater success in and out of the classroom underscored by the QAAET Inspection of April 2012 which judged The BSB to be Outstanding in every aspect of the inspection. Our waiting lists continue to grow and by now the school is 6 form entry up to year 6 and will naturally grow to be 6 form entry throughout in the next 2 or 3 years with 2100 local and expatriate students enjoying a world class British International education on one campus.
