The Chief of National Guard, Lieutenant General Shaikh Mohammed Bin Isa Al Khalifa to Pakistan met with the senior Pakistani leaders and civil and military officials. He held talks with General Rashid Mahmoud, who was recently appointed Chief of Staff of Pakistan Joint Armed Forces.
The meeting was held at the General Headquarters of the Pakistani Army in Rawalpindi.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the existing bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries in all areas, particularly in the field of joint military training, exchanging visits between the military leaders, and means to develop them aiming at increasing military cooperation between the two countries.
Chief of National Guard expressed his satisfaction with the existing joint cooperation between the two countries in the military areas, especially in regard of exchanging expertise, and carrying out joint military drills, in addition to Bahraini students scholarships to study in the Pakistani military institutes and colleges.
