Minister of State for Information Affairs, and the Official Spokesperson of the Government, Samira Ibrahim bin Rajab, on Monday said that the Kingdom of Bahrain was still facing security threats from incidents of extremism with collusion of foreign elements.
Minister was speaking as she joined Major-General Tareq Al Hassan the Kingdom’s Public Security Chief during a Press Conference at the Information Affairs Authority’s premises and said Bahrain’s social fabric was still threatened by terrorists who illicitly imports tools of murder and death.
“Terrorists want to create a wedge between various segments of the society by fanning sectarianism but the Government is resolved to tackle all such challenges including the misuse of social media and other tools,” she added.
“Bahrain is still facing systematic and organised terrorism staged by some extremist sides with the support of some more extremist parties,” she said.
She added that the Kingdom was facing the recent security development rigorously and firmly, noting that the arrested terrorists were preparing for terror acts for the aim of disrupting the kingdom’s security and stability.
