The Bahrain eContent Award is organized by the Bahrain Internet Society in collaboration with the eGovernment Authority in Bahrain and World Summit Award (WSA). The Award aims to select quality eContent and promote creativity and innovation in the development of new media applications in the Kingdom.
“I would like to thank Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, the Bahrain Internet Society and the eGovernment Authority for their recognition. We are very proud to be presented with this Award as we are committed to using the very latest technologies in ICT to provide our clients with the very best services available. We strive to upgrade our core banking systems, data centre and e-banking services to make important banking transactions simple and convenient for our clients. Currently, our IT infrastructure allows our clients to carry out various banking, investment and account functions or transactions by accessing the website through their smart phones or PCs while maintaining a very high level of security,” Abdulhakeem Alkhayyat, said.
KFH-B was the first Bank to commercially and globally adopt the latest Responsive Web Design Technique in its website. The Responsive Web Design is a technique whereby the website adapts itself to any device accessing the site, be it via mobiles (Androids, iPhones, or Blackberries), tablets (eg. iPads and Tabs), and laptops or desktops. This means that the KFH-B website, no longer needs to support a separate application for mobiles or a mobile version of the site.
KFH-B implemented the Responsive Web Design to provide clients with easy navigation and access to corporate information; provide KFHB respective personnel with easy maintenance and to provide KFH-B clients one of the most advanced technologies available.
