Parliament Speaker, Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani paid a tribute to Turkey for its stance in support of Bahrain’s security and stability. Receiving Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Jamil Chi-chak, he hailed strong legislative and economic relations bonding the two countries.
Chi-chak arrived in Manama on an official visit to Bahrain, leading a high-level multiparty Turkish delegation. The two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways of bolstering political, legislative, economic and cultural cooperation, in addition to Bahraini-Turkish stances regarding regional and international issues.
Chi-chak commended deep-rooted historic relations bonding Turkey and Bahrain, hailing steady cooperation and joint coordination in regional and international arenas. He also hailed Bahrain’s landmark constitutional and parliamentary strides in the era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, who initiated a pioneering reform project. He said that the visit aimed at further bolstering bilateral ties, boosting legislative and legal cooperation in addition to exchange parliamentary expertise.
