MANAMA: HM the King’s Personal Representative, Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, inaugurated the American Mission Hospital (AMH) Medical and Wellness Center on Amwaj Islands.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Minister of Health Sadiq Al-Shihabi, government’s senior officials, diplomats and AMH staff.
HM the King’s Personal Representative accompanied by AMH Chief Medical Officer Dr. George Cheriyan toured the medical center departments, including health care department, emergency care unit and doctors Consultants offices.
HM the King’s Representative expressed delight in opening the AMH Medical and Wellness Center in Amwaj Islands which is part of the strategy followed to support hospitals to raise the level of medical service and disseminating health awareness.
He hailed the AMH officials’ efforts in establishing this project according to the latest standards to provide medical and health services to Al-Muharraq citizens.
AMH’s CEO expressed gratitude to HM the King’s Personal Representative for patronizing the opening ceremony, noting HM the King’ s support for the American Mission Hospital.
He vowed best medical and health services to be provided by the AMH Medical Center in Amwaj, noting that Amwaj Medical center will be linked with the AMH Information Center.
He added the AMH has been providing medical services for 110 years, explaining Amwaj medical center will provide services in first care, pediatrics, obstetrics, nose and throat, adult emergency care unit, in addition to diet consultation and before and after birth care services.
