MANAMA: Bahrain’s biggest annual consumer products show, the Autumn Fair, opens on Tuesday 21 January at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
An official opening ceremony will take place under the patronage of the Minister of Industry and Commerce and Chairman of the Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Authority Dr. Hassan A. Fakhro to be attended by invited dignitaries and guests. The exhibition will open to the public from 12 pm onwards.
“Over a 9 day show period, visitors to the Autumn Fair will be able to purchase a wide variety of products from around the world including toys, textiles, cosmetics, interior décor and accessories, electrical goods, specialty foods, novelties and much more whilst enjoying the festive atmosphere and international flavour of this exciting exhibition,” Arabian Exhibition Management’s Project Manager Mohammed Ebrahim, said.
Over 750 exhibitors from 21 countries will display their products at the Autumn Fair 2014 spanning an event area of 14,800 square metres. An outdoor children’s play area, a live band and costume characters also form part of the entertainment.
“The show size has grown by 11% this year and is filled to capacity. Visitors can look forward to more even choice, new exhibitors, unique products and thousands of potential bargains,” Ebrahim added.
Now in its 25th successful year, the Autumn Fair is the most widely attended exhibition in Bahrain attracting an average of 150,000 visitors annually, a significant proportion of which come from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Entry to the Autumn Fair 2014 is 700 fils. Tickets can be purchased from the kiosks at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention. Children under the age of 5 years will be admitted free of charge.
The exhibition will open daily to the public from 12 pm – 10 pm on 21 January, 10 am – 1 pm and 4 pm to 10 pm on 22 and 23 January, 12 pm to 10 pm on 24 January, 10 am – 1 pm and 4 pm – 10 pm on 25, 26 and 27 January and 10 am – 10 pm on 28 and 29 January.
Special ladies only mornings will be held on 26 and 27 January.
