MANAMA: Council of Representatives follows, with a great concern, the deteriorated health, humanitarian, and environmental conditions in Gaza strip, due to being exposed to unprecedented and unjust siege by the Israeli occupation authorities, which warns of a major humanitarian disaster if matters are not urgently rectified.
Council of Representatives stresses the need of the international community to immediately intervene to allow entering of the required fuel to run the power plant, where the power supply has become semi-sectioned throughout the day, leading to the suspension of the work of sewage pumps, threatening all daily services.
Council of Representatives also highlighted that hospitals should be kept safe from any conflicts, where the power cut threatens the life and safety of patients, in addition to the deficit which hit medical supplies and medicines to a serious proportion amounted to $ 1.3 million from the monthly requirement.
The deficit in the medical duties also reached $760000 a year of monthly requirement and treatment for many patients has been stopped, threatening the lives of many of them.
