LONDON: Bahrain’s Parliamentary delegation, led by Women and Children Affairs Committee head MP Ibtisam Abdul-Rahman Hagras, met with Baroness Elizabeth Barker of the House of Lords, on the sidelines of the reception ceremony held by the House of Lords at the British Parliament headquarters in honor of the Arab delegations participating in the two workshops being organized by the Westminster Foundation for Democracy chaired by British MP Henry Bellingham, in collaboration with the Arab Parliamentary Union and Arab Institute for Parliamentary Training and Legislative Studies from 28-30 January 2014.
Bahrain Parliamentary delegation reviewed the solid bilateral relations between the two kingdoms.
Baroness Barker welcomed and wished the parliamentary delegation success in their participation in the two workshops that shed light on strengthening the role of women in parliaments, with institutions of civil society and in the general policies in the Middle East and North Africa – improving general policies based on evidences.
The Parliamentary delegation includes MP Dr. Sumaiah Al-Jodar, MP Dr. Nada Hafadh and MP Dr. jihad Al-Fadhil and accompanied by International Relations Specialist at the Shura Council Sadiq Ismael and Parliamentary Relations specialist Ameera Al-Qataf.
