As part of Great British Week, Bizladies hosted Rekha Mehr, start-up entrepreneur in residence for the UK Government Department of Business, Innovation and Skills at Kempinski Hotel.
Over 40 senior business leaders, business owners, entrepreneurs and dignitaries attended the event sponsored by Kempinski Hotel, UKTI and Mercedes Benz followed by networking. Rekha has helped to shape policy by advising government officials and ministers about what it’s like to start a business in the UK. She started her first business in 2012 selling luxury Indian patisserie to London’s finest food hall and now consults other businesses on setting up, growing and pitching to UK retailers in her new company Moonrekha.
Rekha’s career started in retail buying at Waitrose and Amazon. Delivered in workshop-style, Bizladies were able to discuss the ‘WHAT’, ‘WHY’ and ‘HOW’ of their businesses to improve customer relationships, win more sales and grow your business.
“It was an absolute pleasure to attend the Bizladies event last night and meet such a successful group of women in business – a true inspiration for the upcoming generation,” Rekha, said.
“Rekha will be returning to offer more extensive workshops later this year.”
