MANAMA: AAOIFI in a statement said that they had spotted online fake version of AAOIFI standards and warned the end users to verify the authenticity before downloading such files.
“We’ve received a lot of calls and emails enquiring about the authenticity and legitimacy of the copies of AAOIFI’s standards currently being circulated on, and downloaded via, social media websites,” AAOIFI in a statement said while referring to a fabricated copy of AAOIFI shari’a standards in circulation via social media.
“AAOIFI would like to assert that it is not responsible for the content of these copies, and all information and standards contained therein. AAOIFI didn’t revise or endorse any of these copies. Furthermore, AAOIFI didn’t make its publications available on any website or internet portal, nor gave such permission to any one so far. Although, we would like to assure that we preserve our full right to take necessary legal action against all those who were involved in such violation and copyright infringement that constitute usurpation of intellectual property rights and manipulation of authorship content,” it warned.
