The National Safety Council of the USA has renamed the lobby of their training building in Chicago after GPIC, in recognition of the company’s role in maintaining the highest standards of occupational safety and its concern for the environment, as well as its continuing quest to perpetuate and spread a culture of safety in the community.
In a letter of thanks sent to Janet Vrucher, President and CEO of the National Safety Council, Abdulrahman Jawahery, President of the company, expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation for this step.
The NSC has honoured the company in recognition of the its outstanding performance in the field of safety, health and the environment, while also supplying generous and continuous assistance to the Council to enable it to perform its function in saving lives all over the world.
GPIC President said he was proud of what has been achieved and affirmed that the company continues to mark up achievements of international prestige in the field of the environment, health and safety. The new National Safety Council referred to the discipline shown by the company in maintaining global standards in this field as well as the events held periodically to highlight the need for attention to the culture of health and safety and the environment in the home and workplace for the health and well-being of everyone.
The President was proud to detail the discipline shown by the staff of the company in applying the principles of safety, stressing that this stems from their perception of the meaning of taking full responsibility for the importance of safety in all the company’s facilities and the need to maintain the high standards established by the company in this area.
The GPIC delegation was headed by Abdulrahman Jawahery and took full part in the activities of the annual conference of the National Safety Council in the United States, which was held recently at an event which is widely recognised as the largest on occupational safety in the world, with the participation of more than 13 thousand participants and 900 exhibitors.
