The Bahrain Airport Company, which is responsible for management of the assets of the airport, will continue to modernise the existing infrastructure, according to a top official at the BAC.
Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Airport Company Mohamed Yousif AlBinfalah, who signed the agreement for seven new commuter bridges at the airport worth BD1.2million, said that it would help to streamline the traffic.
The Bahrain International Airport (BIA) has signed an agreement with the Chinese Shenzhen CIMC Tinda Co Ltd to the tune of BD 1.2 million for construction of seven new commuter bridges between the airport boarding gates and passenger planes.
The bridges serve as a safe walkway between airport gates and planes and ensure the protection of passengers from all weather conditions. The contract was signed on Thursday on the side-lines of the Bahrain International Air Show (BIAS2014).
The Company’s Director for Middle East and Turkey Wi Long said that his company has provided its services to more than 184 airports in 52 countries. The company has vast expertise in supplying world-class equipment which it will install to the Bahrain International Airport.
