MANAMA: Son of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa has lauded the role of the scout movement in promoting voluntary work among students through providing them with an opportunity to showcase and develop their skills and capabilities in serving society.
He expressed admiration of the 42nd annual Scouts Camp’s activities aiming to consolidate voluntary work and serve the educational goals, commending the efforts of the Ministry of Education in this regard.
Shaikh Isa was speaking as he patronised, at Al Jazair Beach, the concluding ceremony of the 42nd annual Scouts Camp, themed: “Scouting a lifestyle”, organised by the Education Ministry with the participation of over 2000 scouts, scout cubs and scout commanders.
Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi, Head of HRH Crown Prince’s Court Shaikh Khalifa bin Daij Al Khalifa, Deputy Southern Governor and senior Education Ministry’s officials attended.
Minister of Education of Chairman of the Bahrain Scouts Dr. Al Nuaimi delivered a statement in which he lauded the support enjoyed by the ministry from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and HRH Crown Prince, paying special tribute to Shaikh Isa Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa for patronising the event.
He said that the Scouts and Girl Guides organised a total of 48 events in which more than scouts participated, noting that those activities are complementary to those held by the Ministry of Education for the aim of promoting voluntary work among students enrolled in the Community Service credit, including more than 8,000 secondary school students.
