Tamkeen announces that it has enlisted a team of distinguished mentors and judges for its Youth Business Plan Competition, “Mashroo3i”, which aims to instill and promote entrepreneurial culture within the next generations of Bahrainis.
The selected experts, six mentors and three judges, will play a vital role at every stage of the Competition – from selection of participating teams and providing mentorship, to finally selecting the winning teams. All the members of the team of experts have been carefully chosen in light of their experience, knowledge, credibility and their commitment through their work in various fields.
The six mentors are currently training the 60 shortlisted teams on writing their own business plans during the Business Planning Stage of the Mashroo3i competition, including outlining the objectives, tasks and action plans, supervising each team’s plan of action, and be the participants’ point of contact to ensure participants are on track with the deadlines.
The distinguished line-up of mentors are Basim Al Saie – Managing Director and founder of INSTALLUX GULF a joint venture Bahraini-French company; Damien Balmet – currently Vice-President, Investments in the Private Equity team in Mumtalakat; Deema Al Haddad – founder of DeemZ Jewelery; Fahad Al Shirawi – Founder and CEO of GCCIX; Hassan Al Balooshi founder of Bahrain Blinds; and Safa Sharif – founder of the constructions services company MASY Holdings.
Along with the mentors, three judges have been engaged to ensure that the whole programme is conducted and maintained to the highest professional and international standards.
As leading members of the social, economic and creative segments of the society, they will be instrumental in maintaining integrity and high standards of the Mashroo3i business plan competition. They will take part in judging the 60 Business Plans and live presentations by the shortlisted teams, as well as the 30 shortlisted business prototypes that will be presented during the “Mashroo3i” exhibition that will be announced later on.
The Jury consists of a panel of Dr. Jameela Al Mahari Professor at the College of Business Administration University of Bahrain; Hazem Janahi – founder and Managing Director of Vanguard and Joseph Kirikian Vice President, Investments at Mumtalakat.
The 60 teams will need to submit their business plans on 4th February. The public can follow and engage with the teams via the social media channel (TamkeenBahrain) as well as on (mashroo3i.bh).
