US doesn’t interfere in Bahrain’s internal affairs: Envoy

MANAMA: US Ambassador Thomas Kreisky asserted that his country doesn’t interfere in the internal issues of Kingdom of Bahrain, highlighting that the internal issues should be resolved on the dialogue table between national parties, of which US is strongly supporting.

This came as Chairman of Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee, MP Sawsan Taqwi and MP of the Committee Isa Abdul Jabbar Al-Koohaji held talks with US Ambassador Thomas Kreisky and discussed local, regional and international issues.

At the regional level, US Ambassador stressed that his country supports the trend towards the Gulf Union, for it will enable the member states to elevate their economic, social and political levels, and achieve welfare to them, asserting that this issue is highly supported by US.

The MPs reinforced the need for supporting the true national efforts in regard of the national dialogue away from any foreign effects, as well as supporting all efforts elevating GCC states.
