MANAMA: The youth can take the initiatives to be business owners and pioneers and contribute to promote the economy.
Minister of Labour, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Vocational Training, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, was highlighting the importance of youth taking on the challenge to become entrepreneurs instead of looking for white collar jobs.
In his remarks he delivered in the graduation ceremony of the first batch of the International Program for Young Entrepreneurs, which was organized by Bahrain Small and Medium Enterprises Society (SMEs), in collaboration with the British Council, University of Stirling of United Kingdom and Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI).
The event was attended by UK Ambassador Ian Lindsay, BCCI’s Second Deputy Chairman Adil Hassan Al-A’ali, Labour Undersecretary Salem Sabah Al-Dosari, a number of Labour’s officials and SMES’s Chairman Dr. Abdul-Hassan Al-Daeri.
He affirmed the program assisted in developing new ideas for the youth’s future projects, in addition to introducing the young entrepreneurs to the difficulties may encounter during pursuing their desired goals.
He lauded all those who participated in making this training program successful.
The British Ambassador asserted the readiness of the British Council and the British government to provide more specialized technical expertise to promote the development of young entrepreneurs’ programs, so they can establish their new ventures.
BCCI’s Second Deputy Chairman and SMES’s Chairman underscored the importance of supporting the youth through developing training programs to raise their skills and rehabilitate them to be the future entrepreneurs and economic leaders.
The Labour Minister, at the end of the ceremony, distributed graduation certificates to the participants and wished them successful future.
