MANAMA: Thugs and rioters try to disrupt the civil order on Friday and police restored the law and order situation and arrested 26 thugs on various charges.
The Kingdom of Bahrain celebrated the 13th anniversary of the National Action Charter on Friday; however, some villages saw rioting, vandalism and the targeting of policemen.
“This required police to respond to these criminal acts with legal means. Vandals burned a civilian car parked on Isa Al Kabeer road with Molotov cocktails and there was an explosion that damaged a bus carrying policemen in Daih. Two policemen were injured in a terrorist explosion in Dair. Throughout the day, 26 people suspected of rioting and vandalism were arrested,” Ministry of Interior in an official statement confirmed.
The Interior Ministry said that the current increase in police deployed throughout the country is for the protection of all and will continue in the coming days in order to respond to attempts to riot or to vandalize property. The Ministry thanked citizens and residents for their continued cooperation.
