MANAMA: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa left Manama on Tuesday accompanied by a high-level governmental delegation on an official state visit to the Republic of India at the invitation of President Pranab Mukherjee of the Republic of India.
His Majesty the King is scheduled to hold important talks with the Indian President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and several senior Indian government officials.
“The Royal visit to India explores various aspects of the increasingly-growing solid historic economic, political, cultural and mercantile bilateral cooperation relations between the two friendly countries as well as current and latest regional and international developments of mutual interest,” the official statement, said.
His Majesty the King was seen off at the Sakhir Airbase by His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.
