Tokyo: Minister of Human Rights Affairs, Dr. Salah bin Ali Abdul-Rahman, and the accompanying delegation, met the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare’s senior officials led by Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs.
Human Rights Minister said that broadening human rights cooperation channels with Japan stems from Bahrain’s keenness to expand and strengthen bilateral cooperation at all levels.
Human Rights delegation was briefed on the policies taken to implement the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s economic development vision based on creating prosperity for the Japanese people.
Human Rights Minister gave an overview of Bahrain’s private sector Labour Law issued in 2012, pointing out the unemployment rate is less than 4%.
He commended the Japanese efforts exerted in health, labour, welfare and medical fields, and gave a briefed on the services provided by the health and medical care for citizens and residents in Bahrain.
The two sides agreed to continue joint cooperation to promote and protect human rights at the internal and external levels.
