ISLAMABAD: Bahrain’s Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa held talks on Wednesday with the Adviser to the Pakistani Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz.
On the sidelines of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s visit to Pakistan, both sides signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in manpower and vocational training on behalf of the governments of Bahrain and Pakistan.
The two sides discussed ways of bolstering the existing bilateral relations, calling for the need to consolidate trade, investment and popular ties, and cooperation in the fields of manpower and energy.
Sartaj Aziz affirmed the strength of bilateral relations.
Shaikh Khalid expressed the government of Bahrain’s desire to boost its historical ties with friendly Pakistan, wishing Pakistan further progress and prosperity.
Regional and global issues of mutual concern were also spotlighted.
