Kuwait Finance House–Bahrain (KFH-B) held its annual staff gathering 2014 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Spa. Almost 300 staff members were in attendance and were privileged to have the company of Yaqoob Majed, Chairman, Mohammed Shaikh Ishaq, Board Member and Abdulhakeem Alkhayyat, the Managing Director and CEO.
“I would like to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to Kuwait Finance House – Kuwait for their continuous support and for maintaining the bridges of financial and banking cooperation, which has had a positive impact on our shareholders. I would like to also thank our managers and executives on their success in spearheading the Bank towards sustainable development, for overcoming obstacles and accomplishing new achievements to make KFH-Bahrain into one of the most respected financial services provider in the Kingdom,” the Chairman Yaqoob Majed, said.
“As we gather here today and thanks to Allah and the hard efforts made by all of the Bank’s management and staff, we collectively celebrate the great achievements that have been made over the past year. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank and extend gratitude for the hard efforts and perseverance shown during this time,” Abdulhakeem Alkhayyat CEO and MD of the bank told the staff.
“With the support of our employees we have been able to continue to provide seamless and non-stop banking services to our customers at all times. Our employees played an important role in supporting the growth of the Bank and for sustaining its position in the market.”
“I encourage all our employees to continue developing themselves and their skill sets by aiming to achieve professional certificates. Furthermore, it is important for employees to keep abreast of the latest developments in the financial industry and to learn about new trends in the global financial markets. Nowadays, it is essential to keep pace with changes that may happen in the banking sector to support the Bank in overcoming market fluctuations that may happen in the future. KFH-Bahrain is very proud to support its employees in their professional career development,” he added.
“On this occasion, I am pleased to announce the launch of knowledge building workshops that will be hosted internally by staff members in the Bank which will be held throughout the year with an aim to enhance the capabilities and knowledge of our staff. The Bank also intends to launch a private staff club which will be located at Diyar Al Muharraq to strengthen even further the relationships between our employees and to promote health and fitness among all staff members”, Alkhayyat said.
As a highlight to the programme, staff who had won the “Fursan Baytik” employees’ recognition awards for their outstanding contributions was recognised. These included 3 employees from the last quarter of 2012 and 12 employees who were awarded during 2013. Furthermore, 4 grand winners out of the 15 were selected by a special committee and honoured for their extraordinary achievements both inside and outside their workplace.
As a conclusion to the staff gathering, a series of recognition awards were presented by Majed, Shaikh Ishaq and Alkhayyat to 53 long serving staff members who have worked at the Bank for both 5 years and 10 years.
